Each Never Busy Fax subscriber gets their own unique 800# that becomes their new fax number. From this point forward, our carrier becomes the collection agent for the faxes sent to the toll free number. The 800# can be an existing number that the customer transfers over to the carrier service or a new number picked for this new implementation. At the time of signing up for the service, subscribers determine the desired destination for their collected faxes, e.g., a fax machine or LAN, and our carrier registers this destination in the subscriber’ profile.

The Never Busy Fax Service is designed for subscribers needing to manage a high volume of faxes coming in to their environment. The service provides a business solution that is an extension to the subscriber’s environment. In other words, this service is intended to support applications where the receiving point for the collected faxes is a fixed point in the subscriber’s environment. Inbound fax services to support traveling users are currently being developed by other groups within our carrier.

Pricing

The Never Busy Fax service has two principal billing components -- the 800 access number charges and the inbound service switch charges. The 800 access charges are billed on the standard 800 invoice at standard rates. The inbound system charges are presented on a separate invoice and are based on the time it takes to submit a fax message to the inbound system. Note that if the customer selects an egress path that requires a dedicated line, e.g., Frame Relay, this circuit will be billed separately.

The charges for the inbound system are shown below:

• Inbound fax fees for submission of fax: $0.45 Per minute
• Monthly Minimum: $50.00

Note: Actual fax billings are credited against the monthly minute fee.
